Along the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass, you'll encounter panoramic views and traditional Berber villages before reaching Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and iconic film location. After exploring the ancient kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Sahara," where you’ll settle in for the evening and enjoy a relaxing night in this cinematic desert town.

 

Day 2: Ouarzazate to Zagora – "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs"

Departing Ouarzazate, the route takes you through the enchanting Draa Valley, famed for its lush date palm groves and centuries-old kasbahs. As you journey through the "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs," you'll witness the seamless blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Upon arrival in Zagora, a tranquil desert town steeped in caravan history, you'll have time to explore the local atmosphere and prepare for the deeper desert experience ahead.

 

Day 3: Zagora to Erg Chegaga – "Heart of the Sahara"

The adventure continues as you leave the paved roads behind and head into the vast Sahara wilderness toward the majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga. Traveling by 4x4 vehicle across rocky desert plains and dry lake beds, you’ll reach one of the most remote and stunning dune fields in Morocco. Here, you’ll experience a true nomadic lifestyle, ride camels at sunset, and spend the night in a premium desert camp under a sky filled with stars, immersed in the serene silence of the Sahara.

Day 4: Full Day in Erg Chegaga – "Immersed in the Desert"

Spend a full day enjoying the magic of the Sahara. Wake early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast before a day of desert experiences. Activities may include sandboarding, visiting a nomadic family, or exploring the nearby Lake Iriki's dry salt flats. From there, the return to Marrakech offers one last opportunity to take in the contrasting Moroccan landscapes—from arid expanses to bustling cityscapes—concluding your unforgettable 4-day odyssey through the heart of the Moroccan desert.
